How To Install
Palm: Open the ZIP file you downloaded
above, and
locate the PRC file inside (AargonPalm.prc). Install it on your device by
double-clicking it, or by running the "Palm Install Tool" and selecting the PRC
file. Then HotSync your device.
Pocket PC (Windows CE 3.00 and up): Run the EXE file you downloaded
above on your desktop PC, and follow the on-screen instructions. If you
downloaded a CAB file instead, install it onto
your device as described below. Here are CAB files for
ARM/XScale,
MIPS, and
SH3 Pocket PC devices. These CAB
files are provided on an "as-is" basis, with limited support, and are intended
for experienced users only.
Palm-size PC (Windows CE 2.1x): Here are CAB files for older
MIPS and
SH3 Palm-size PC devices (NOT
Pocket PC devices). Install the CAB file onto
your device as described below. These CAB
files are provided on an "as-is" basis, with limited support, and are intended
for experienced users only.
Handheld PC (or other Windows CE-based
devices not listed above): If you have such a device,
let us
know, and we'll see if it can be supported.
To install using a CAB file: 1) Connect
your device; 2) Open Microsoft ActiveSync on your desktop PC and click the
"Explore" button; 3) double-click the device's "Windows" folder and then
the "Start Menu" folder (for Pocket PC devices, you must first
double-click "My Pocket PC"); 4) drag the CAB file you downloaded above
into the device's "Start Menu" folder; 5) go to your device and tap the
Start button, and then tap the CAB file.
When the CAB file has finished installing, it will be deleted automatically
from the Start Menu. Assuming installation was
successful, a shortcut to "Aargon" should now appear under Programs/Games.
How To Play
After installing the program on your device, open
the "Games" folder/category to find the Aargon icon, run it,
and then tap the Tutorial button. Built-in help is available
from the Help menu for various screens. Online Documentation and
Hints are also
available.
How To Purchase/Register
The trial version allows you to play all the Beginner Levels. To
play the other 120 built-in levels, click one of the Buy It icons above,
or use Pocket Aargon's "Purchase" or
"Register" menu command to learn how to purchase the complete version and receive a registration
code that will unlock them.
You can also visit the Twilight Games web site to complete your purchase
for the
Palm or
Pocket PC version. If you want to take advantage of built-in level editing and create your own
packs and levels, be sure to purchase the Premium Edition to receive a
Premium registration code, which will unlock those features as well.
When purchasing, be sure to include your HotSync ID (aka User Name), as
displayed on the Pocket Aargon Registration screen.
Once your order has been processed, your Registration Code will be
automatically emailed to you. Enter that code on the Pocket Aargon
Registration screen to unlock all the remaining levels. If you have lost
your registration code, visit our Registration Code Support
page.

Compatible Devices
The following is a preliminary list of supported device types, as of April
2003. However, even if your device isn't listed specifically by make or
model, as long as it's either a Palm OS or Pocket PC-based color
PDA, Pocket Aargon should run on it.
- Color Palm OS Devices, including:
- Palm IIIc, M130, M505, M515, Zire 71, and all Tungsten models
- Handspring Visor Prism, Treo 270, and Treo 300

processor
- Other Windows CE-based devices that are pre-Pocket PC and/or
non-ARM-based may also be supported; if you have such a device,
let us know.
Pocket Aargon should also work with recently announced devices too, such
as the Palm OS 5.2-based
SAMSUNG SGH-i500 and Pocket PC 2002-based
SAMSUNG SGH-i700 "smart phones". However, devices such as
these should not be confused with Windows CE-based Smartphones, which use a
diffferent operating system, and are not currently supported.
Pocket Aargon was designed and developed by
Jeff Parsons of
DoubleBit Software, based on the
game concept, level designs, and artwork of
Aargon Deluxe, in cooperation with
Twilight Games.
