There are two ways to browse programs by category: selecting a single category from the Home page's list of Categories, and creating a Category Filter. Category Filters give you more control, but require a few more steps to create. However, once you've created a Category Filter, they're just as easy to use as single categories, because they're included in the Home page's list.
Category Filters are created by selecting "Categories..." from the Filter menu. Categories are divided into two groups: Main categories and Subcategories. The first Category Filter page shows just the Main categories. It also allows you to enter a descriptive name if this is a filter you'd like to use again.
Selecting any of the Main categories (e.g., Movies) will automatically select all the related Subcategories (e.g., Action, Biography, etc.) When you tap the "Next" button, you will have an opportunity to change which Subcategories you're interested in.
Once you've created the Category Filter, it will affect all pages displayed
afterward, until you either select a different category or clear the
filter. Note that while the filter is in effect, the caption indicates [Filtered].
You can quickly clear all filters by either tapping on the Home icon 
from the Home page again, or by selecting "Clear Filters" from the
Filter menu.
